Multi-team effort:
Tawab Attaie, a Senior with major in MIS, attended in 2019 summer internship at Norfolk State University (NSU). There he worked in a team of four students with a graduate mentor and a faculty adviser. The other students, were Yusef Yassin, Trenton Ward, and John Caldwell, were from Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico, Norfolk State University, and North Carolina State University, respectively. The team researched on Dynamic Keystroke for Authentication with Machine Learning Algorithms. They used Random Forest, Decision Trees, Neural Networks, and Support Vector Machine algorithms for their research. Dr. Graham of NSU was the supervisor of this group. The internship is a new collaboration between many HBCU’s (Historically Black College and University) and MSI`s (Minority Serving Institution’s) at NSU. The team published and presented a paper on their research in the IEEE Secure Development Conference, September 25 – 27, 2019. .
